We are proud to announce the WaterPortal is now hosted using 100% hydro-power (a carbon free source of energy) at Canada’s largest green data and web hosting center, supported by IBM-RackForce at the RackForce GigaCenter. The WaterPortal is truly “Powered by Water”.

Created to be a not-for-profit organization by Alberta WaterSMART, the Bow River Basin Council, IBM and Tesera Systems, with funding and support from the Alberta Research Council, and the Suncor Energy Foundation, and the Alberta Water Research Institute, and supported by other private and public sector technology, industry, watershed management partnerships.
