A: We believe that information and knowledge about our water resources is the foundation for effective water management decisions.

We created the Alberta WaterPortal to enable free and open access and sharing of information and knowledge on ground and surface water conditions, water management innovations, best practices, news and research, and conservation programs for water basins throughout the province. We support Alberta's Water for Life strategy, and have created a place where anyone can easily get the information and knowledge they need to make better water management decisions, and maybe become more actively involved in managing this valuable resource.
