Edmonton land developer fined for altering water body

Edmonton... The Provincial Court of Alberta has fined JOVNIC Ltd. $200,000 for removing vegetation from a water body, placing fill onsite, and realigning a water body without proper approval. The incidents occurred between September 27, 2007 and June 2, 2008 in an unnamed water body on the south side of the North Saskatchewan River near 34 Street in Edmonton.
